According to question if the position of first and second digits of all numbers  are interchanged  then the numbers will become,

586,\ 462,\ 275,\ 923 ,\ 841

Hence, on arranging the numbers after interchange in ascending order, we get,

275,\ 462,\ 586 ,\ 841,\ 923

So, the third number when arranged in ascending order is 586.

NOTE : It is the arrangement of numbers in a series in such a fashion that smallest number is in the first position and largest one is in the last position.
