The following results were obtained in an experiment to determine the formula of an oxide of silicon.
Mass of crucible = 15.20 g
Mass of crucible + silicon = 15.28 g
Mass of crucible + silicon = 15.48 g
Mass of crucible + oxide of silicon = 15.80 g
a) Find the empirical formula of the oxide of silicon.
b) If the Mr of the oxide of the silicon is 60, what is it's molecular formula?
