Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The following steps are used to rewrite this polynomial expression 3(x + 4y) + 5(2x - y)

3(x + 4y) + 5(2x - y)

First Step open the bracket

= 3x  + 3(4y)   + 5(2x)  + 5(-y)

= 3x + 12y  + 10x - 5y

adding x compoents with x component & y with y

= 13x  + 7y

=  10x + 3x  + 10 y  - 3y

=  10x  + 10y  + 3x - 3y

= 10(x +y) + 3(x -y)
