y = -1/3x + 2/3 .................eq 1

2x + 6y = 4  .........................eq 2

rearranging eqution 1

y = -1/3x + 2/3

3y+x = 2

multiplying both side by 2 we get

2x+6y = 4

above equation is same as eq 2

as we get eq 2 just after rearranging , means these equations are equivalent
