The following table shows current in Amperes and potential difference in Volts.
V (Volts)
4
5
6

I (Amp)
9
11.25
13.5

a. Find the average resistance.
b. What will be the nature of the graph between the current and potential difference? (Do not draw a graph.)
c. Which law will the graph prove? Explain the law.

Nice Question. Answer with detail is shown below.

(a). From the Data we have to first calculate the Resistance for each readings of Potential difference and Current.

∴ When Potential Difference = 4 V and Current = 9 A,
Then, Resistance(R₁) = 4/9  = 0.44 Ω

Similarly, when V = 5 V and I = 11.25 A,
Then, Resistance(R₂) = 5/11.25 = 0.44 Ω

Also, When V = 6 V and I = 13.5 A,
Resistance(R₃) = 6/13.5 = 0.44 Ω

Now, Average Resistance = (R₁ + R₂ + R₃)/3
  = (0.44 + 0.44 + 0.44)/3
  = 0.44 Ω

Hence, the Average Resistance is 0.44 Ω.

(b). We can see that the Resistance in each case is 0.44 Ω, thus Graph will be the Straight line graph which will have the same value of R for different values of V and I.

Graph will either starting from some point on Y-axis or from Origin.

(c). The Graph will Prove the Ohm's law.
According to the Ohm's law, the Current flowing in the conductor is directly proportional to the Potential difference across its conductor provided that the physical conditions such as temperature remains the constant.

Mathematically,
Ohm's law is stated as,
  V ∝ I
∴ V = I × R

Where, R is the constant (Resistance).

Hope it helps.
