Preparing a less than frequency distribution is very simple..
We know that 0-20=3students
Therefore we can say that 3 students got below 20.
Similarly, In less than 40 category , both 0-20 and 20-40 frequencies should be added i.e 3+21=24.
Keep proceeding in this way and you will obtain all the cf's(cumulative frequencies)
For your ease, I will also provide the answer but first try to do it yourself.
Answer:
Less than 20 = 3
Less than 40 = 24 (21+3)
Less than 60 = 49 (3+21+25 or 24+25)
Less than 80 = 89 (49+40)
Less than 100 = 100 (89+11 or total frequency) (Always the last number should have total frequency. This is very useful for verification).
