Mode = l + (f1-f0/2f1-f0-f2) ×h

l= lower limit of the modal class
h=size of the class intervals
f1=frequency of the modal class
f0=frequency of the class preceding the modal class
f2=frequency of the class succeed in the modal class

SOLUTION:

Here modal class is 7-9, since it has a maximum frequency which is 18

l= 7 , f1= 18 , f0= 10, f2=7, h= 2

Mode = l + (f1-f0/2f1-f0-f2) ×h

Mode= 7 + ((18-10)/(2×18-10-7)) × 2

Mode= 7+( 8/36-17)× 2

Mode= 7 +(8/19)×2

Mode= 7 +16/19

Mode= 7 + 0.84

Mode= 7.84

Hence , the modal gain in weight is 7.84 kg

HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU...
