Using the above table answer the following questions:

2. Which element is a metal with valency 2?

Element D will have valency 2 which is metal,


Element B is a non metal having valency 3,


and Element D has larger radius because as move right of the periodic table,


atomic radius decreases.


Electrons come closer to the nucleus due to opposite charges of electron and nucleus.


The elements C and F are called as Halogens.
