Mean = sum of observations/no. of observations

= (4×67)+ (3×70) + (2×72) + (2×73)+75/12

=70.25

Answer:- 70.25

Hope it helps : )

The mean weight of the data is equal to '70.25' .

Step-by-step explanation:

The given table:

Weight(kg)                     67   70  72  73  75

Number of students(f)  4     3    2     2     1

To find, the mean weight of the data = ?

We know that,

Mean = \dfrac{f_{1}x_{1}+f_{2}x_{2}+ f_{3}x_{3}+..... }{f_{1}+f_{2}+ f_{3}+..... }

=\dfrac{4\times 67+3\times70+2\times 72+2\times 73+1\times 75}{4+3+2+2+1}

=\dfrac{268+210+144+146+75}{12}

= \dfrac{843}{12}

= 70.25

The mean weight of the data = 70.25

Thus, the mean weight of the data is equal to 70.25 .
