The following values of resistance R Ohms and corresponding voltage V Volts are obtained from a test on a filament lamp.

Ohms 30 45 60 75 90
Volts 15 20 25 30 35

Choose suitable scales and plot a graph with R representing the vertical axis and V the horizontal axis. Determine

i) the gradient of the graph,
ii) the R axis intercept value,
iii) the equation of the graph,
iv) the value of resistance when the voltage is 60V, and
v) the value of the voltage when the resistance is 40 ohms
you must solve a linear equation by plotting a straight-line graph using experimental data and use it to deduce the gradient, intercept and equation of the line.
