Plants prepare food in their leaves. The leaves have green color due to the presence of a pigment called Chlorophyll. Chlorophyll helps in the the making of food through the process of photosynthesis which uses, oxygen, carbon dioxide, water, sunlight. This stored food in the plant is known as glucose as well as starch (carbohydrate).
