Answer:

GIVEN:

THE FOOT OF A TIGER HAS AN AREA OF 245 CM^2.

MASS OF THE TIGER=1000 KG.

TO FIND:

PRESSURE EXERTED BY THE TIGER ON THE GROUND.

FORMULAS TO BE USED:

w = m \times g \\  \\ p =  \frac{force}{area}

WHERE,

W=WEIGHT OR FORCE EXERTED BY THE TIGER TOWARDS EARTH.

P=PRESSURE EXERTED BY THE TIGER.

SOLUTION:

LET'S TAKE G=10 M/S^2

WEIGHT =MASS× g

=W=1000 kg×10

=W=10000 N

NOW PRESSURE APPLIED:

P=10000/245×1/100=10000/245/100=10000×100/245

=4081.63 n/m^2 or PASCAL( Pa).
