The force acting between two charges is F. Magnitude of charges and distance between the
charges are doubled, the force/acting between them becomes 2F, then n =
(A) 4
(B) 1
(C) 2

Answer:

Electrostatic force between two point charge is directly proportional to the product of magnitude of charge and inversely propotional to square of distance between them. So

F=1/(4πepsilo nought) *(q1q2)/ r^2

From the equation of force r is inversely proportional to sqare of distance between the two charges.

If ‘r’ is doubled then the new force will be 1/4 time the original force .

Hope this helps you.
