On block of 4kg:

T-mg = ma

T= ma + mg

T=4a +4(10)

T=4a +40 -(eq 1)

On block of 2kg:

mg-T=ma

T=mg-ma

T=2(10)-2a

T=20-2a -(eq 2)

From eq 1 and 2

4a+40=20-2a

6a= -20

a= -20/6

a= -3.34

Now,

Tension =20-2a -(eq 2)

T=20-2(-3.34)

T=20+6.68

T=26.68
