According to NEWTON'S THIRD LAW OF MOTION, a force always has an equal and opposite reaction force.

so if the force exerted by the earth on the ball is 8N, then the force on the earth by the ball will also be 8N.

here, force exerted by earth on ball is action I.e. 8 N
so , force exerted by ball on the earth = 8N but in opposite direction
