Given:-

  • Force ,F = 11.75 N

  • Area , a = 80cm²

To Find:-

  • Pressure , p

Solution:-

Firstly we convert the area into metre square.

1m² = 10⁴ cm²

∴ 80cm² = 80/10000 m² = 0.008m²

As we know that

→ Pressure = Force/area

Substitute the value we get

→ p = F/a

→ p = 11.75/0.008

→ p = 1468.75 Pa.

The pressure acting on the area is 1468.75 Pascal.
