The force of gravitation is calculated by G(m1m2/r²)
Therefore the force of gravity is inversely proportional the distance between them. On reducing the distance between them r² will become r²/4, but since r is in the denominator, the 4 will be shifted to the numerator. This means that on reducing the distance to half, the force of gravitation will be increased by 4 times. Therefore if there initial attraction was 10√6 N, it will become 4*10√6 = 40√6N
