The formation of compounds between two atoms
and B. A losses two electrons and B gains one electron.
i What is the nature of the bond between A and
ii Suggest the formula of the compound formed between A and B.
iii On similar principle explain the formation of Calcium chloride.​

i) ionic compound

ii) AB2 since A losses two electrons it's valency is 2 and B gains one it's valency is one on interchanging we get AB2

iii) A is calcium because it has valency 2

and B is chlorine since it has valency 1

therefore CaCl2
