Which is produced the formation of photochemical smog?

Photochemical smog, often referred to as summer smog, is the chemical reaction of sunlight, nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds in the atmosphere, which leaves airborne particles and ground-level ozone. Photochemical smog depends on primary pollutants as well as the formation of secondary pollutants.

Answer:Photochemical Somg :

a) It occurs in warm, dry and sunny climate

b) It is a mixture of NO2 , unburnt hydrocarbons, HCHO, etc...

c) It is called oxidising agent

FORMATION OF PHOTOCHEMICAL SMOG

When fossil fuels burnt, hydrocarbons and Nitric Oxide  (NO) are released in to the atmoshpere. The  NO so formed is first converted to NO2 ,  which is further breaks up to form NO and frees a  oxygen atom in presence of sunlight

a) NO2 → NO (g) + O(g)

b) O+O2→ O3

Both NO2 and O2 are strond oxidising agents and reacts with unburnt hydrocarbons to produce compounds like HCHO acrolein
