the main hormone responsible for urine formation is antidiuretic hormone released by the posterior lobe of pitutary gland , it helps in the reabsorption of water in the distal convaluted tubule and the collecting duct of nephron, it also constricts the ateriols which is responsible for the increase in blood pressure

it deficiency can cause a disease known as diabetes insipidus which is cause by the deficiency of ADH in the body which is characterized as the excess dilute urine.
