it is sublimation as ice is solid and vapour is gas. You can simply write the reason as> this process is spontaneous because the gibbs free energy change for this reaction is negative and also entropy increases greatly which makes this process spontaneous.

It is a evaporation method as sometime ice melt into water than convert into vapour and sometime it directly convert into vapour so we can not termed this process as sublimation as the sublimation process of a substance is remain can be done in most of the condition.
