HI MATE,

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER

Total energy of the object = mgh. As it falls, its potential energy will change into kinetic energy. If v is the velocity of the object at a given instant, the kinetic energy = 1/2mv2. As the fall of the object continues, the potential energy would decrease while the kinetic energy would increase.

HOPE IT HELPS YOU

\mathtt{\huge{\underline{\red{Kinetic\:Energy:-}}}}

The energy obtained on an object because of its motion or the energy gained by an object from its state of rest to motion is known as the Kinetic Energy .

K.E. =  \frac{1}{2}m {v}^{2}

Where,

  • KE is the kinetic energy .

  • m is the mass of an object.

  • v is the velocity of an object.

The SI unit of kinetic energy is Joule or kgm²s-²

\mathtt{\huge{\underline{\pink{Potential\:Energy:-}}}}

The energy held by an object because of its position relative to other objects, stresses within itself, its electric charge, or other factors is known as Potential Energy .

P.E. = mgh

Where,

  • m is the mass

  • g is the acceleration due to gravity

  • h is the height

The SI unit of potential energy is Joule or kgm²s-²
