The answers with respect to metal M is given below-

The compound given in question is MCl2. Here, two ions of chlorine are present.

Since chlorine has valency of -1 thus total charge will be -2 on chlorine molecules in given compound. To make net charge zero, M must have +2 charge and hence it's valency.

Now, sulphate has -2 charge. So formula of metal sulphate will be - MSO4.

Zincate is represented as Zn(OH)4(2-) also referred to as tetrahydroxozincate ion. The charge is -2 on this ion. So again, compound formed will be-

MZn(OH)4.

To form metal hydroxide, one ion of metal will react with two molecules of hydroxyl ions containing charge of -2. M(OH)2 will be the formula.
