The formula of a compound is AB. If the valency of B is 3, what will be the valency of A?

Answer:

The valency of b would also be 3. Whenever two ions have same valency they cancel each other out .For example, since both a and b have valency 3 instead of writing it as A3B3 we write it as AB.( The 3 would be in subscript).
