the formula of hexane is C6H14 but in cyclic hexane its formula is C6H12. why?

And so we got ethane, C2H6, i.e. SATURATED….
And we got ethylene, C2H4, i.e. ONE DEGREE of unsaturation.
And we got acetylene, C2H2, i.e. TWO DEGREES of unsaturation.
