The formula of oxygrn is O2 and ammonia is NH3. Describe what these formulae tell you about each substance.

Formula O2 tell that two oxygen are bonded with each other by double covalent bonds.
And NH3 tells that Nitrogen is bonded to three hydrogen atom by mean of single covalent bonds.
