• That is the R₁/R₂=R₃/R₄.
• Here R₁=20
• R₂=40
• R₃=20+x
• R₄=80
• To find the x we need to calculate the ratio
• Therefore putting values 20/40=20+x/80
• 1/2=20+x/80
• Further simplifying 80=2×(20+x)
• 80=40+2x
• 80-40=2x
• 40=2x
• x=20
• That is the value of x.
