Step-by-step explanation:

A pool is a cuboid which is open from the top.

Here,length(l) of cuboid = 24m

breadth(b) of cuboid = 12m

height(h) of cuboid = 4m(Here,we have to consider depth as height)

Total area of pool = C.S.A. of cuboid(i.e. area of 4 walls) + l×b(i.e. area of bottom).

=>Total area of pool = 2(l+b)×h + l×b

= 2(24+12)×4+24×12

= 2(36)×4 + 288

= 72×4+288

= 288+288

= 576m^2

=>Cost of painting the pool at 1m^2=₹800

=>Cost of painting the pool at 576m^2=₹800×576

=₹460800 ans.
