the fourth term of AP is 14 and 12th term of 70 then find the first term​

t4=a+(4-1)d

14=a+4d-d

14=a+3d...1

t12=a+11d

70=a+11d...2

subtracting 2 from 1

a+3d=14

a+11d=70

___________

-8d=-56

d=7

14=a+21

14-21=a

a=-7

first term =-7
