solving both the equations-

t+43d-(t+3d) =124-24

t+43d-t-3d=100

40d=100

d=5/2

substitute the value of d in eq(1)

t+3*5/2=24

t+15/2=24

t=24-15/2

t=48/2-15/2

t=33/2

now finding the 24th term

t24=t+23d

=33/2+23*5/2

=33/2+115/2

=148/2

=74
