The free end of a single movable pulley is connected to a single fixed pulley. Now if the free end of the string in the fixed pulley is moved through a distance 10 cm, by what distance will the load connected to movable pulley be raised? What effort has to be applied at the free end to just raise a load of 100N? Neglect weight of the pulley and friction.
KINDLY SOMEONE ANSWER. IT'S URGENT.

Answer:

(i) State the function of the fixed pulley P2.

(ii) If the free end of the string moves through a distance x, find the distance by which the load W is raised.

(iii) Calculate the force to be applied at C to just raise the load W = 20 kgf, neglecting the weight of the pulley P1 and friction.
