The free layer metal sheet gets covered with a brittle brown coloured layer . When this metal sheet is covered with another metal it does not form any such layer (answer the metal and brown layer formed name THE phenomenaand also name the metal which do not permit any such layer to form? )

The metal is iron, the brown layer is rust, the phenomena is called rusting or oxidation and zinc is the metal plated on it to prevent rusting.
