Answer:
Freedom struggle is difficult in multiple ways because it requires every individuals effort to be collected and presented for the sake of an ideology. The stakes are high in such cases because such a struggle leads to loss of homes, wealth, livelihood and even lives. There is nothing left but the cause for which the people fight.
For instance, under the British rule in Subcontinent, the Hindus and Muslims fought for their own separate nations. Using that as an example we can take a look at the stages,
- Stage 1: Identifying that you are oppressed
When Mangal Pandey refused to bit the cartridges, the Indian soldier working for the East Indian Company faced oppression.
At the hands of the British is was cruelty because in Hinduism a cow is a sacred animals and in Islam, pig is Haram. Looking at both scenarios commanding them to come into contact with such animal fats was oppressing them.
