The events of the French Revolution were mostly political (since there was a revolution going on). Items in a daily newspaper might be printed speeches given recently by one of the political celebrities (such as Danton), reports on votes held in the Assembly, proclamations and orders of the Provisional Government, lists of people who were guillotined, lists of people arrested, reports on which church had been burned, or what area a riot had occurred in. There might be articles written by political celebrities (Murat, Robespierre, others), on things like revolution, the proper type of government, the state, if God existed etc.
