Inductive reactance XL is proportional to frequency whereas capacitive reactance XC is inversely proportional to frequency.

XL= (2×pie×frequency×inductance)

XC= 1/(2×pie×frequency×capacitance)

Therefore, if frequency is doubled, inductive reactance XL will double and capacitive reactance XC will be halved.
