we know that

velocity of a wave=frequency*wavelength....(i)

and also,

velocity of string wave=√(T/μ).....(ii)

where,T=Tension in the stringμ=mass per unit length

So, clearly from the equation....(ii),if tension is made.four times its intial value then, velocity of string wave will be double.

if tension is made.four times its intial value then, velocity of string wave will be double.we further implies that frequency will be doubled if wavelength is constant.

thus,the frequency becomes 200 hertz.
