The phase difference is 0.4 π.

Explanation:

Given that,

Frequency = 20 Hertz

Time interval = 0.01 sec

Let x be path difference.

Using formula of distance

d=vt

Where, v = velocity

t = time

d = distance

Put the value into the formula

x=vt

Using formula of wavelength

\lambda=\dfrac{v}{f}

Where, v = velocity

f = frequency

We need to calculate the phase difference

Using formula of path difference

x=\dfrac{\lambda\times\phi}{2\pi}

\phi=\dfrac{2\pi\times v\times t\times f}{v}

\phi=2\pi\times20\times0.01

\phi=0.4\pi

Hence, The phase difference is 0.4 π.
