The frequency Range of an electromagnetic spectrum is 10⁶ Hz - 10¹² Hz.

To find : The corresponding range of wavelength is...

solution : for electromagnetic spectrum,

c = λf

where c is speed of light , f is frequency and λ is wavelength.

now λ = c/f

case 1 : f = 10⁶ Hz , c = 3 × 10^8 m/s

so λ = (3 × 10^8)/(10⁶) = 3 × 10² = 300 m

case 2 : f' = 10¹² Hz , c = 3 × 10^8 m/s

so, λ' = c/f' = (3 × 10^8)/(10¹²) = 3 × 10¯⁴ m

Therefore the range of wavelength is 3 × 10¯⁴ m - 300 m
