The friction experienced in water is more than that experienced in air.
- Frictional Force is a force which opposes the motion of an object.
- There is friction whenever an object moves through a fluid (those substances which are apt to flow easily are called Fluids. Water and air are the extensively common fluids). It is called fluid friction.
- The friction experienced in water is more than that experienced in the air because the higher the viscosity which is the thickness of fluid the greater will be the frictional force which is acting on an object moving through it.
- Water is much more viscous than air because water is much thicker than air so the object will experience much more frictional force on an object when it is moved through water than when it moved through the air.
