the frog and the nightingale is a poetry by vikram Seth in which a frog lived in the bingle bog who use to crock whole night.all the animals were fed up with him they beated him throwed stones on him, prayed him but he was not stopping at all. one night a nightingale came there on the sumack tree and sang her melody. all the animals in bingle bog became happy and excited by listening to the song. the frog was jealous of the nightingale. he told the nightingale that he is one of the famous male singer of the bog so the nightingale must take up training from frog to become famous as him.the frog also asked the nightingale for fee and charges it in the night concert. so the nightingale follows the same and sang in rainy day all day and her voice became harsh.but her was back till night and she sang. this was both for the frog sweet and the bitter. so as from her day by day practice her voice was becoming uninspiring. the animals stop coming to the concert and the nightingale became Sad and unhappy with that all. the frog was angry with her as his profit was becoming loss day by day. he asked nightingale to take a deep breath and relax then sing. as the nightingale took a breath her one of the vein burst and she died. the frog didn't showed any sympathy towards her and starts croacking his crass cacophony.
