Given :  DE || BC

AD: DB=3:2

To Find : AE:EC

a) 2:3

b) 3:2

c) 2:5

d) 3:5

Solution:

if a line is drawn parallel to one side of a triangle intersecting the other two sides, then it divides the two sides in the same ratio.

DE || BC

=> AD/ DB  = AE  / EC

AD: DB=3:2 =>  AD/ DB  = 3/2

=> 3/2 = AE/EC

=> AE / EC  = 3/2

=> AE : EC  =   3 : 2
