■Helps to increase the length.
○Lateral meristem-
■Lateral means "side to side".
■Located at girth (Cambium).
■Helps to increase girth.
○Intercalary meristem-
■Located at the base of the leaves or the internodes.
■Helps to grow twigs into branches.
■Tissues are filled with cytoplasm.
