"The functioning of UNSecurity Council is undemocratic". Justify the statement by giving three suitable example.

1. Lack of representation

Only 15 countries (5 permanent and rest rotational)
Their decisions are binding on rest of the world.

2. Non-members have no rights.

A resolution passed by the council in a country which is not a member will go through irrespective of the country's opinion.

3. Potential abuse of power by members (Veto Powers)

The 5 Permanent countries have Veto rights. They can vote against a resolution passed by the UNSC which ultimately makes them the decision makers.
