See it is divided into three parts. Chromoplasts, chloroplasts and lecuoplasts. It gives color to the parts of the plant that is its main function and because of this it is divided into three parts..

it found only in plants cell
they contain 70s types of ribosomes
there are two types of plastids
leucoplast
chomoplasts
plastids are the site of manufacture and storage compounds of important chemicals compounds used by the cell.
they often contain pigments used in photosynthesis .
