Given Equation is x^3 - y^3.
(x - y)(x^2 + xy + y^2)
Given Equation is x^4 + x^2y^2 + y^4
(x^4 + y^4 + 2x^2y^2) + (-x^2y^2)
(x^2 + y^2)^2 - (xy)^2
(x^2 + y^2 + xy)(x^2 + y^2 - xy)
Therefore the HCF or GCD = (x^2 + xy + y^2).
Hope this helps!
