The girl finds it difficult to drink with the straw as the straw has a small hole in it. Can you explain, why?

When we drink liquid with a straw ,the air pressure (due to our sucking)inside the straw decreases.The air pressure acting on the surface of liquid then becomes greater than the pressure inside the straw.
Straw needed more atmospheric pressure to suck and make them to drink smaller hole make it more pressure which result in more energy.
