Answer:

perimeter of 10square = 80cm

perimeter of 1 square=80/10=8

side of one square=

perimeter of square=4×s

8. =4×s

8/4= side

2cm is the side of one square

area of square =s×s

2×2

4cm²

area of 10 square=4×10

40cm

the area of figure is 40cm²

Given:

  • The perimeter of the squares is 80 cm.
  • There are a total of 10 squares of the same size.

To Find:

  • The area of the 10 squares.

Solution:

  • We know that perimeter = The sum of all the boundary lines of the squares.
  • Let x be the length of one side of the square, there are 16 boundary lines in the figure,
  • So, perimeter = 16x
  • ⇒16x = 80
  • ⇒x = 80/16
  • ⇒x = 5 cm
  • So the length of each side of a square = 5 cm.
  • We know that the area of a square = side*side = 5*5
  • Area = 25 cm^2
  • For 10 such squares,
  • Area of 10 squares = 25*10 = 250 cm^2 .

∴ The area of 10squares = 250 cm^2 .
