Given :-

  • NJCA is a square with each side as 20 cm.
  • NP = 4 cm.
  • PJ = 16 cm.

To Find :-

  • Area of the shaded region ?

Solution :-

Construction :-

  • Join PB .

So,

  • Rectangle NPBA is same as Rectangle PJCB .

then,

→ shaded area = (Area of Rectangle NPBA / 4) + (Area of Rectangle PJCB / 4)

→ shaded area = (4 * 20 / 4) + (16 * 20 / 4)

→ shaded area = 20 + 80

→ shaded area = 100 cm². (Ans.)
