The given figure shows a triangle ABC
in which AD is perpendicular to side
BC and BD = CD. Prove that :
(0) A ABD = A ACD

Let draw a traingle with three side of names given angle A,B,C and draw a perpendicular on Bc

so BD=CD

Now ,

Here double triangle is formed

TriangleABD and traingle ADC

IN TRIANGLE ABD and ADC

AD=AD[common]

BD=DC[due to perpendicular]

angle ADB=angle ADC[ given]

therefore, triangle ABD and Triangle ADC are equal [by ssa rule ]

hence AB=AC[by cpct rule]
