The Godavari flows from the west to the east. Why?

because starting point of the godavari is located in plateau region which is in west it start flowing towards east because it is an plain region

1. South India is situated on the Deccan plateau region.

2. The Deccan plateau is slightly tilted towards east.

3. The Godavari rises at Nashik in Western ghats of Maharashtra.

4. The river Godavari rises in Western ghats and flows through the Deccan plateau before joining Bay of Bengal.

Therefore the River Godavari Flows from West to east.
